The categories in my opinion could be improved by adding the hits category for hitters, and wins for pitchers.

I personally like .OBP as an offensive category over hits. I also don't like having wins as a pitching category because it a crappy offense can cost a great pitcher wins. For example, Rich Hill threw a no hitter for 9 innings a couple of weeks ago and still got the loss...

Changing categories can be a slippery slope, teams have specifically drafted teams based on the categories we had in place, I'm never opposed to anything if it will improve our league. But I would really need to hear a great reason as to why we should add those.

When we started and voted we had an 8-8 tie and the Commissioners made a decision, now that vote was obviously not the whole league if it was 8-8. Maybe we can have a new vote and hold it open until we get 20 votes. Also we have already replaced 3 owners so I'm not too sure people are that set that they couldn't change their teams to meet the rules. The 3 new owners have no choice.

There was not a split vote on categories. There was split vote on scoring type and there was 20 votes, but those other 4 votes are gone because people have left the league.

Toronto mentioned adding wins for pitchers and hits for batters, something that LA Dodgers said they liked.

I need to hear a reasoning behind adding categories.

I'll check with Toronto, so we would need to post a reason and if you like it then would go up for a vote?

There needs to be a discussion including the entire league about what you are changing and when you are changing, if it's even a good idea to change. Adjusting categories is a pretty big deal in my opinion.

Once that discussion happens and if it seems like most of the league is at least comfortable with he idea we would put it up for a vote

My issue with the proposal is that you are wanting to add hits and wins. We already have two categories that are very similar and are a better measure of offensive and pitching production in my opinion (OBP and QS). I personally think wins are a terrible fantasy category and will certainly vote against adding that category. Wins diminish the value of a good pitcher on a bad team.
