Something I would like to discuss is how players can be auctioned again if a manager doesn't promote a player who has lost minor league eligibility. I don't always have time to check and see how many ABs or IP all 25 of my minor league players have. How the rules are set up now, another manager could start an auction on one of my minor league players after 48 hours of their eligibility expiring. I don't have a perfect solution for this as it's unfair to ask league officials to be responsible for monitoring every owners rookie's ABs and IP, but I would like to see if any other owners at least feel the same way or have proposals on this.

I know last year I didn't see anything on Yahoo for tracking them, so yeah it's a problem. Let's say your away a week and your player's eligibility expires, by the time you get back he's gone? Need to give that owner right of first refusal or something

Owners should have an idea of their players AB's and IP's at all times, so it shouldn't be hard to monitor. This is supposed to be a highly active league so I don't really feel bad for someone that can't keep up with it because if you can't I wonder if you will be active enough.
With that being said I don't mind changing this to allowing players to stay on the roster until he end of the year and then force Promotions.

I know in some leagues they give an owner 48 hours once their player passes the AB/IP limit. This way other members are waiting for 48 instead of swooping in once they are 1 AB or .1 IP over the limit.

I like the idea of them staying on until the end of the year, and then you have forced promotions.

I also had a post placing Clint Frazier on the Upper minors a couple of days ago as he reached the 130 ABs. Our season in the league was over, however in the MLB they are still playing. I just happen to check it that day. If I had not noticed until next Monday, could someone have started an auction on him?

A couple times I went through rosters to check players that were up in the majors and might be close to the limit. I sent out a few messages, I will try to do it more next year when more minor leaguers will be in the majors.

I'm with the Yankees. I like the idea of having a week to decide what to do. It's enough time to reshape the roster if necessary, and gives some leeway if you have to step away from the team for a few days

Some of us take two week vacations away from the computer, that could be a problem.

I would be in favor of having until the end of the year to make a decision if others don’t like the current setup because determining a time period will be extremely arbitrary with so many opinions

I'm sensing what most people's feeling are gonna be on this:
So my proposal is that players can stay on the roster they sit on for the remainder of the season, If they are promoted while over the limits they will no longer be allowed to go back down to the Upper Minors or MilB roster. Keep in mind with this players will still lose a year of eligibility even if they sit in your minors all year because there clock starts once they pass the rookie limits.

If anyone sees some issue or problem that this change could present please let me know. I can't think of anything currently
