Hey guys I’m posting this here so we can keep the draft threads somewhat clean going forward. If you have any questions or just want to talk draft post that stuff here.

The last two Ps taken in R2 are solid. One was a targeted arm of the Cubs.

Have to ask since it seems kind of silly, but do I really have to wait until the 24 hour mark on my trade with ATL? I'm on the clock anyway with pick 4.15 and it won't expire until after I hit the 24 hour mark with ATL, so wouldn't it make sense to let me just go ahead and make the 3 picks to keep things moving?
(And yes I completely get why we have the 24 hour period and all of that, more just venting that I have to sit on my hands today and hold things up to preserve value from that trade)

At the time earlier in the draft we (CHC) had a posted trade agreement with ATL and we were instructed to wait until the time limit passed before we could make a selection with an acquired pick. I believe someone posted a rule or two to support this. I would refer you to the prior thread I reference but it no longer exists. It looks like you are now in the same situation we were. I believe you need to wait until the time passes by.

Yeah as I said at the end of my post, more just a rant than anything. I know I need to wait. Just seems silly when I'm also the one controlling the OTC pick so I can just stall the draft until my trade clears.

Believe me I think it’s silly to have to wait to, but we can’t make exceptions or that sets a bad precedent.
This is why I specifically asked people to not trade picks coming up soon. This could have been prevented by getting ARZ to promote Yoan Lopez and Keury Mella to MLB and having him select for you and immediately make the trade after or make the selection yourself for Arizona and make the trade.
As an FYI to everyone the draft does pause when a pick OTC is involved in a trade...
However in this instance, the draft does not pause for a skipped pick being involved.

Totally get not setting a bad precedent. I didn't realize he had those open MLB spots, that woulda worked. Oh well.

Hey Josh,
I think I know the answer to this and it's drop 5 minor league players but to make certain. In Feb 2020 I have 25 players on my minor league roster and 5 in the low minors,(no player did anything to be promoted)and I have all my up coming draft picks. Now the draft is about to begin for me to make picks I will need to either promote or release my low minors in order to draft correct?

Regardless of whether or not you're drafting though, you need to clear you low minors prior to the draft (either promote or drop). Right?
