Trade clause - If Sandy doesn't pitch 50 innings in 2025 PIT pays the buyout to SD when Sandy is cut.
Trade clause - If JD Davis or Mitch Haniger are cut in 2024 then PIT pays the buyouts in 25,26,27 only, but if JD Davis and Mitch Haniger remain on SD roster the remainder of the year then the clause is void
I agree to this deal... wow, moving Ronald and Jasson is incredibly difficult, but I like the pieces im getting in return for the short term and long term. My chips have officially been pushed to the center of the table... To accommodate roster space Im losing 3 IL players, I have 2 ready on my team in Assad, and Estrada ready to slide onto the IL and ill bring Kyle over straight to the IL. then one current open slot and trading away davis and haniger should make room for the other 3. A large thanks to the Padres for brainstorming this with me and really getting creative to make such an awesome blockbuster trade possible!

I agree to this deal. I am amazed how quickly and easily this came together. We seemed to be on the same wave length through all the discussions. I am happy to have Goldie off my payroll and pick up a player I think will be a future stud in Jasson. I'm a little worried about Acuna's health but even if I get every other year out of him I should still have a strong team  |

These trade clauses need to be reviewed carefully by the trade committee of any potential issues…

- Pittsburgh would need to have the extra money for the buyout all of 2025 at least until Sandy reaches 50 IP. Also when Sandy is cut (In what year)?

Yes on my page on the spreadsheet we will just have the necessary cash on hand to cover the clause on a seperate line so as not to confuse the actual budget coding, and we can place an official expiration date on the clauses. So for our Sandy clause it will officially expire when Sandy hits 50IP OR at the conclusion of the 2025 season (that being the final game of our fantasy season; playoffs included). And an expiration on the JD Davis/Mitch Haniger clause set for the conclusion of this season (2024) (upon the final game of our fantasy season; playoffs included).

I think I am $4.90 short of the 2025 cash needed to cover the two clauses.the trade is on hold until I can clear the 2025 money.

Okay lets make a large intricate trade even more fun! lol So the following addendum to the trade has been made:
Additional Clause: PIT has until the last day of the 2024 fantasy baseball season to clear the necessary $4.90 needed to cover the 2025 clauses in the original trade. If PIT fails to do so before the end of the 2024 season then Paul Goldschmidt will be used as collateral and will be released from the team prior to the 2025 season to allow for the cash needed to cover the original clauses.
This addendum completes this trade and is now ready for trade committee approval! Sorry for the confusion, there were just alot of moving parts!
