To make the league a little bit less complicated to run we would like to set a standard price for the Qualifying offers moving forward. Thinking at setting it at $7 x 1 year. If anyone has an issues please provide comment here.

How are qualifying offers determined currently? I looked through the rules, and while they reference QO's, I didn't see anything that spelled out how they are determined.

I’m not 100% sure honestly.

Most premium players will get more. Why push the lesser ones at a higher price?

I think the qualifying offer should be the same across the board that way when you have players for example eligible for the offer the following season you can kinda plan your salaries accordingly for that possible scenario.

Oakland can speak on what the process is for QO. I couldn't find it in the rules.

So basically we have been taking the top 125 players (via yahoo rank) adding there salaries together and dividing that number up by 125. It’s a very long process and it is a lot of work to get done. It would simplify the league if it was 1 standard $ amount every year.

Why not break it up into 5 tiers of 25 players per tier and assign a dollar amount for each tier? Seems that the #1 player should cost more than the 125th.

The point here is to simplify this process and rule not really create a new one.
