MiLB Waivers
- Prior to the start of each new season the Waiver priority will be reset in inverse order to the previous seasons standings; i.e. the last placed team gets the highest priority and the first place team gets the lowest priority. The only exception is that the league champion and the league runner up will always fall last and second to last.
- Any player may be released at any time by his team. All released player automatically are placed on Waivers for a 24 hour period. After those 24 hours, the team with the highest priority who has an active claim for the player acquires the player. After the MiLB Draft and Rookie Drafts all eligible undrafted players will be placed on waivers for 24 hours.
- After the 24 hour waiver period has passed, if the player has not been claimed, he immediately becomes a free agent and is available to all teams on a first come-first serve basis.
- The team who waived the player cannot claim the player off waivers. That team must wait until the player clears waivers and becomes a free agent before reacquiring the player.
- Teams must have an open Minor League roster spot for a Waiver claim to be processed. You must clarify who you will be dropping in order to make an open roster spot.
- No player may be Waiver claimed who has exceeded 130 AB/ 50 IP / 30 Games Pitched onto a MiLB roster.
- In order to make a claim on a player you have 2 options: 1) Message the commissioner privately 2) Post your claim in the player thread under minor league drops
