This trade is confirmed and I want Bruce Maxwell placed in the upper minor with the standard rookie contract. .50 for 3 years and two years of arbitration eligibility.

As I've noted in the past. I was looking for an upgrade at C, SS & another impact SP. I got all 3 in this deal.

I am floundering with players on the DL. Since we are limited to placing 4 players on the DL, the depth is lacking to compete on a continual basis, the next few weeks. Even if I made the playoffs, I do not like my chances in the postseason with so many injuries. I am looking to improve for next year and Brinson and Thames will help next year. The pitching prospects seem exceptional to me and worth a shot for future years. I may need a catcher this year to finish the season and that is why I am placing Maxwell on the upper minors. He will see playing time, and hopefully start to hit.
