This question is for the new owners especially Nate, the new L.A. Dodgers owner. You Matt, Gino, Ken and if there are others I missed I apologize. Now Nate your team went to the finals, since the team was already built, was it being already built an issue for you, as you weren't able to use a strategy in drafting?
How about the rest of you?

For me,I joined because I like the minor league aspect of the league but it seems like your asking about a strategy. I looked at the avaialble team and took Cleveland because I liked Lindor and Meija.I guess my strategy get as many of the best players I can, hope they perform as they should and see what happens

I agree, I try to get the best players I can hope they do well. I knew a couple of guys in the past who would try to "work" the system, by loading up a certain way, a few injuries later or trade offers and that was done. I have never seen it work.

Well obviously my previous owner did a good job in setting a good foundation. I think I added a little to what he did and felt I had the strongest team going into the playoffs. Unfortunately having the best team doesn't always guarantee you win the big trophy. That's fantasy playoffs for you! All you can do is put yourself in a position to have a chance and hope for the best. That said, I'm not taking anything away from Pittsburgh. He had a great team too and is very deserving! I'm not sure I fully understand the question here. I don't think taking over an already good team is ever an issue. But honestly I didn't care if I took over a good team or a bad team. I've done both in the past. I just adapt to the league and move forward whether that's from the bottom or the top. Truth be told, commish started this league as a spin off from my league. A lot of these rules are straight from my rule book. I had a chance to join this league from the beginning and build a team from scratch, but was a little too busy at the time. I later changed my mind and eventually the opening for my team came up. But I'm certain whether I took over a good team or started from scratch I would have been right where I ended up.

I was basically asking if when you took over the team would having a certain philosophy prevented you from doing so. I know some owners have had certain philosophies so I asked all the new owners if when they joined since they didn't draft their teams would the team not matching their philosophy have been an issue
