One thing I just realized was never specified in the rules was trading draft picks. I could have sworn it had been written in there. But I guess I must be crazy because I cant find it for the life of me. I must have imagined it being there.
My original intent after this auction finished, was that 2018 draft picks would be available for trade which would be for our first rookie draft. On October 2nd, 2017 which is when our so called new season begins and contracts decrement by 1 year 2019 draft picks would become available for trading. So essentially you would have about 4-5 months to trade 2 years worth of draft picks.
So since this was not specified in the rules, let me know if you have another suggestion or if you like what my original intent was for trading of draft picks. If there are any other suggestions that multiple owners like we will put it to a vote.

I know in some leagues they allow the trading of draft picks for two seasons. So with the conclusion of our recent inaugural MILB draft, I would assume only the next set of picks would be available for trade once the auction concludes and is posted to the ML. I agree with you Josh that a date needs to be established for when the next set of picks would be available for trade.
So just for the record, what is the year for the recent MILB draft? Would it be 2016 since the draft was started in that year and then the next draft we hold in the next off season be 2017?

The next draft is set to start February 19, 2018. So it would be 2018 picks. Technically there is no draft in the year 2017, lol.

In a normal league our Initial MiLB Draft would have occurred in 2017 but we started really early.

In a normal league our Initial MiLB Draft would have occurred in 2017 but we started really early. Makes sense to me boss. So we have concluded the 2017 draft the next one will be 2018. I'm already looking forward to it.

It looks like there is no strong opinion on this. My original intent for trading of draft picks will stand.
So whenever trading opens after contract assignments, 2018 Draft picks will be available for trade. On October 2nd, 2017 when the new league season begins (Contracts decrement by 1 year) 2019 Draft Picks will be made available granted trading will be closed and will not reopen until January 2nd, 2018

IDK what this even means. Why did it "open" in the first place?

There's usually a period of time where the league shuts down to move everything forward into the next season. So there will be no trading allowed for a period of time.
