I agree to this trade. I needed some help in my outfield and I believe Nelson Cruz can be just that for my team. I also needed another solid option out of the pen and Watson has been really solid. Of the players I'm losing it hurts the most to lose Ramos as I love his tools and think he has a bright future. I think pretty highly of Sheffield too even if he does end up in the pen which I think might be his best value anyways. Not sure what to make of Almanzar honestly. I don't have space to wait on J. Montgomery's recovery from TJ. This is kind of me pushing some chips in hoping to make some noise this season. Thanks Bryan and Stu, it's a pleasure as always. 

In order to make this trade work on my end here are the corresponding roster moves.

Release Eric Skoglund from Upper Minors
Demote Daniel Gossett to Upper Minors
Demote Tyler Austin to Upper Minors
Place Chad Kuhl on the DL

The Cubs accept, and in time Bryan will concur.
Josh and I threw out various names and here we are. Our thinking here is we get solid young pieces for our future even if these pieces are several years away from seeing a MLB playing field. I see the two MLB players we're trading as upcoming off season FAs so why not cash in now for our future instead of bidding on them with a 20% discount when in fact we may not win either player. I love the potential we receive in the MILB hitters and the upside of the two arms. Good luck Josh on your playoff push.
