SP J. Montgomery (NYY)
2019 2nd rd pick (OAK)
$3 cash in 2019

Orioles agree to trade Peraza to the Cubs. I kinda like Peraza, but the Cubs offered cash, a prospect, and a high draft pick. This is a good deal for my partial rebuild. Montgomery will be back at some point next year hopefully. But I free up extra money for this year and next doing this trade.

Basically speaking we need a speed guy and a MI to play multiply positions.
Giving up Montgomery was the hard part here because we have a deep farm system and future cash to trade.
