I wanted to see how people feel about expanding our Minor League rosters? My suggestion would be to expand our MiLB roster from 20 to 25. What are your thoughts on this? Is this a good idea? If so, when should it be implemented?
Another thought if we decide expanding MiLB rosters isn’t a great idea then maybe Low Minors is the way to go. Providing deeper low Minors will allow people to have more draft picks. I even considered at one time suggesting that we eliminate a cap on low Minors. Teams could draft as many players to the Low Minors as they have draft picks. The stipulation to that would probably be not allowing teams to add players to their low Minors after the draft. Or putting a cap on how many they can add after the draft.

Just a thought but some of us have used a MILB listing and a Low MILB listing together before and it does help each team for their own future. I think for the upcoming draft we simply use the 5 rd draft we currently have in place to supplement the low minors in the first year of it's existence and then increase the MILB listing to 25, which in theory will increase a team's farm system by a total of 10 prospects. The extra 5 prospects for the MILB portion would be open for discussion for the majority to decide how this gets fulfilled.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!
Edit - To boosting the minors from 20 to 25 and/or expanding the low minors

Increasing minor leaguers can only help it will give teams more assets to build with or as trade chips.

If your lucky enough to have players move up the line it's a great way to fill the spots could also be a great way to bring in more contenders and eliminate the pretenders, so do it.

Can't see any harm in MiLB expansion or Low-minor expansion.

I like expanding to 25. This helps the teams with a lot of draft picks the following year because we have to find room for those draft picks and it gets tough as we do more and more drafts.

I think the no cap on the low minors would be interesting. Either way you have to find room for them all by the next season anyway. But if a team has more than 5 picks it makes it hard for them to find room at that moment.

So far most people seem to be in favor. We need to start considering how and when to implement this.
