I am suggesting we add a competitive rule to the league. It's really a simple thing, an owner maintains a competitive team at all times. You put out a roster where every position is filled.
Now I know this seems stupid, we all should be doing this but as you can see from Josh's posts concerning the innings, "lack of effort" and from conversations I had with him and Gray, this is simply not the case.
Injuries I know play a big factor in things, I had 16 of my 25 players spend time on the DL. From mid April to May 1st 9 players on the DL within 2 weeks. I replaced 3 of them had intentions of replacing more but besides there only being 5 DL spots I never did that's on me. During discussions with Gray & Josh I apologized for this.
It was during those conversations were I learned they weren't too pleased with some other's performances either.
They monitor everything that occurs in the league and not only did they noticed the lack of innings by some teams they also noticed lineup alterations.
What I am suggesting is when Josh, Gray or Alex see a team go 3 or 4 weeks missing the innings requirement by wide margins or lineups short a player for multiple weeks, they reach out with a message to that team. simple message look correct this issue. If they find after the message nothing has been done then tell them real simple any draft picks you own will now move to the back of the round. So instead of "tanking" to pick in the top 3 you will be picking number 20. This seems like it put an end to anything but fair play.
Now I get people get busy and sometimes it takes a couple of days to land that free agent replacement but if these guys don't see an effort then this seems like a fair solution to all.
I know this would be adding to their plates and a couple of them have already mentioned they will be taking on extra work soon(babies) so I if everyone was ok with it we could have a different owner each week just tell one of the 3 of them what they noticed and then they could bring it to the owners attentions if they felt it was warranted, with 20 something weeks every owner would probably only have to do it once.
Anyway it's just a suggestion to the problem that seems to be occurring with the lack of effort.
