I accept. Adames offers an immediate, young replacement for Turner, and I view both Adames and Nimmo as potential all stars, or at the very least, quality big leaguers. Welker and the draft pick is just the cherry on top for me.

I'm looking to compete this year and I really needed speed. Turner should help fix this hole and should add some decent pop and good counting stats to boot. It sucks giving up Adames, who is just starting his career, but realistically for me, the best case scenario would still be worse than Turner. Nimmo, on the other hand, might hurt even more; he had a 404 OBP last year and is still incredibly young (top 120 player last year and on a great contract). That being said, it's still worth it to me to get a truly elite player, especially because I've built my team on OBP so his departure won't be as devastating. I also like that this trade opens up another roster slot for me, and the 10 dollars in 2020 and 2021 will help when my guys start hitting arbitration.
