CHC Trades 3B N. Senzel (CIN) OF L. Robert (CWS) RHP TJ Zeuch (TOR) 2020 3rd rd (CHC)
CWS Trades SS C. Correa (HOU) $14.00 cash in 2019
Giving up a young SS that still has 3 years of control is tough but picking up two of the top 40 prospects in the game is worth the risk. I don't see my team contending this year with my pitching staff so I am hoping the extra money for the next two years will allow me to pick up some good pitching next off-season.
I have been after Robert for awhile now and I am glad to finally land him.
Please place Dakota Hudson on MLB roster to make room for the 3 prospects.

Hudson doesn't qualify for upper minors. Otherwise, cool deal guys.

The Cubs accept. The bottom line is we wanted a power hitting INF for three years instead of waiting on the "possible" development of two solid prospects. We might regret this trade in a few years but for 2019 it works for us. We have discussed N. Senzel a lot lately with a few teams but nothing really developed, however, Alex came to us late last night with a starting offer we couldn't pass up. We tinkered with the trade this morning and here we are. The prospect and draft pick in exchange for the 2019 cash somewhat balanced this trade for each team. We're not looking to win the league in 2019 but we do want to make an attempt at finishing in the top 8.
Bryan will concur later.

I agree to this trade. Getting a top SS will put us in a position to compete in the next 3 years.

My apologies, I just realized we need to make a roster move to accommodate us acquiring C. Correa. We will be dropping RP AJ Ramos
