I agree to this deal, Schoop has had a down year and a half but I think/hope he’s still got some really good baseball left in him. He’s in a really good lineup and has nice pop for his position and even though he’s never been an OBP guy I think he can really help me down the stretch and next season as well. Want to thank BOS and CWS for the smooth negotiations; it was fun boys.

DeJong seems to be streaky. He helped a lot for two months but recently I have not started him. He may get hot again and thus could have helped me down the stretch but I have a lot of depth at SS : Seager, Newman, Lopez, Kang, Kieboom and more prospects. So I had to let one go to free a roster slot and I thought DeJong made the most sense/was the easiest to move. Also I needed to replenish my draft picks.
Same here PIT, was fun working on that trade.

I needed some INF depth and a SS going forward and I was able to snag two young, average SS with cheaper contracts. Hopefully DeJong gets it going again
