Hey guys Free Agency begins Thursday, January 2nd at 12:00 PM EST.
Here is a refresher of some things to remember for free agency:
- The maximum number of auctions an owner can start is 3
-auctions may be started at any $ amount so long as it is a minimum of $0.50.
*The minimum bid increasement is $0.10 of total contract value. On the 6th bid the minimum bid increasement is $0.50 of total contract value. On the 11th bid the minimum bid increasement is $1 of total contract value
- When placing a bid for a player that you receive a 20% discount please place the bid and the discount price in parentheses like this: $10 ($8).
-The winning bid has to hold for 24 hours. Total Contract Value Wins.
- Remember you have enough salary cap not only to place a bid but you must have enough salary cap to fill a full 25 roster after the bid
-You must have enough salary cap for any future seasons in order to place a bid
-If you don’t have enough open slots you must announce a corresponding roster move.
- You CANNOT change your corresponding roster move in the middle of the auction.
- it is possible for a manager to be involved in multiple auctions after having declared the same player as the stated drop in those auctions, provided that that manager only has the current highest bid in one of those auctions at any given time.
- The salary if the player you intend to drop/demote does not count towards available salary you can bid with
- Illegal bids will be deleted and the previous bid would continue to lead until a valid bid.

Hey guys make sure you have enough roster spots before making a bid. If you do not have enough roster spots you can announce a corresponding roster move at the time you place bid. This is definitely something the two new owners should understand and get used to Arizona Diamondbacks @sully84 And please ask me or some of these veteran owners any questions you may have!
