Very interesting Free Agency off season this year. A ton of money was thrown out on players that's for sure. Teams that needed pitching really had to spend to try to acquire it. It seems as a whole right now there is no clear cut favorite as I feel that a few teams have improved there playoff chances coming into the season. Does anyone else have comments to add.

Definelty a wild off season but I think the teams going for it and vastly overpaying for mediocre talent will really help flip the league saddled with bad contracts possibly forcing a complete overhaul opens the door for the rebuilding squads to rise to the top!

Lot of big contracts handed out. Although, as a whole this league is very competitive as their are alot of teams that are busy tinkering with there teams.

Ian Happ is drawing more money than i thought. I was hoping he'd turn it around last season but still looked lost.

He slashed .264/.333/.564 at the MLB level last year, if that is looking lost: sign me up. Issue has been his entire time in Chicago, consistent playing time, hopefully new manager will help right that ship.

He had minimal AB's after his call up. I watched him struggle at AAA all season and the year previous year. Lots of K's. Wasnt saying hes bad player just no where near his pedigree as a prospect.

He has struggled I originally drafted him in this league and decided to move on from him although I do think he has alot of potential still left.
During the FA period this year I was shocked at how certain guys earned nice FA contracts. When I figured they would be cheaper signings for sure.
Prime example of this is the huge contract given to Trevor Bauer. I know he is a solid promising pitcher but wow I hope he is worth it over those years.

As far as Bauer goes he has talent but with him he lets his head mess himself up. I will say our division is usually pretty tough. You, me, braves, and normally Rangers are fighting for it. I was hoping to sneak and steal the division this season but with the Braves improving more and your team it's going to be a fight.
