Util Khris Davis $ 9.50 thru 2023

Orioles approve this trade. This is such a risky trade for me. I basically had no interest in being able to trade Teheran at all, but Khris Davis has really struggled the last two seasons partly from injury. Is the decline legit and I picked up a near worthless player.... Who knows I am gambling that he at least somewhat returns to form in 2021 because I will have him for awhile and if he does get back to hitting HRs that is a huge win for me. If he doesn't that is a expensive contract with a nice cap hit.

Gave out Davis’s contract last offseason, almost instantly regretted it because I realized I had massively misjudged the market for a UTL only player who has seemingly lost his ability to hit for power. I get out from his deal while taking on a pitcher who won’t get a MLB deal this offseason, but is only under contract for 2021. I will probably cut Julio before FA opens and take half of that money and put it elsewhere in FA. This was more worrying about 2022/2023 cap hits on Davis’s contract.
