Prospects that exceed minor league eligibility can stay on the roster they reside on for the remainder of the season, If they are promoted while over the limits they will no longer be allowed to go back down to the Upper Minors or MilB roster. Keep in mind with this players will still lose a year of eligibility even if they sit in your minors all year because there clock starts once they pass the rookie limits.
