The Orioles approved this trade this trade is about for me to get a nice promising young catching prospect in Cartaya. I am hoping in a few years he will be my future catcher on this team as for now I have a little catching depth to make due with until he is ready. Diaz has some promise as well. However Boston wanted Whitlock who is pitching very well at the moment so I am sure he fills a bullpen need for them. Wish you luck hope he produces for you.

I’m voting to approve this but I want it on the record that I think this is a borderline veto as the picks alone are more than fair let alone Whitlock and cash too

Red Sox approve this trade. I hate trading Cartaya (it looks like he will be a stud) but I have depth at the position. I have depth at 1B as well. I was interested in Whitlock obviously and wanted the draft picks. I hope this trade works out for both.

Agree with ATL. This one will take years to see the real value of this trade and I wouldn’t stand in the way of that because Diaz or Cartaya could end up being great value. But I do believe that was steep price to pay. All good though if both managers are good then I won’t stand on y’all’s way both owners have been around since inception.

When I saw someone had vetoed, I wondered if that person thought I got the best value or BAL did. Then I read ATL's post. My perception is different. Diaz could be Miami's 1B for years to come. Some people see David Ortiz. Cartaya may be the new Mike Piazza. On the other hand, we know how draft picks go. Quite the lottery. So we know we don't know, right? 😊 Actually, I hesitated for, like, a week. I made BAL wait, right BAL? Anyway, thanks for your feedback. Always fun to discuss trades.

Yeah he made me wait... I was actually the one who upped the offer to get him to accept this. I like catching depth so Cartaya really intrigued me for sure and I still have my first round pick for this draft so I like how I made out here.
