it’s hard to give up a really good cost controlled reliever for someone that I think is clearly not worth 16 million next year.  But I’m going to have an influx of cash so I can take the hit, and the big benefit to me is the 8 million in 2023. Hopefully Morton is at least playable this year and next if he doesn’t retire lol

I wonder if the person who voted “no” realizes that Diego Castillo is ranked 131 this year and Morton 141, and at 15 million dollars cheaper

No he has been good but his age and the length of the contract are the concerning parts to me. I didn't vote no on the trade just my thought process.

Yea I figure that he might retire in which I get out of it, and if he doesn’t I should still have at least a usable pitcher next year and then a big boost in 2023 when a lot of contracts will be expiring
