The Giants agree to trade:

3B - Jose Ramirez - $30.5/2025
1B - Triston Casas - prospect
RHP - Emerson Hancock - prospect
$27.5 in coverage in 2022
$15.25 in coverage in 2023

to the Mets for

1B - Vlad Guerrero - $3/2022 + ARB in 2023

Adding Vlad seemed like a no brainer given I acquired Bregman in a separate trade to man 3B for me. Balancing out funds between J-Ram and Vlad for 2022 and 2023 seemed like a reasonable part of the deal. And while I didnt want to part with Casas or Hancock, its the cost of getting something like this across the finish line and I've got some prospect depth to hopefully manage their losses.

I agree

Vlad was my 3B. As he should lose the eligibility next year and I've also Alonso as 1B, it was the opporunity to trade him.
I like a lot Casas and he could become my 1B in 1 or 2 yrs.

I've to say also that a lot teams was interested in Vlad but unfortunatly, I had only one Vlad to trade. There was at least 2 offers meeting all my expectations. The choice has been really tough.
