SP Stephen Strasburg WAS: 3 years $11.20
$2.80 $14 cash in 2017
Nationals trade:
1st round pick in 2018
2nd round pick in 2018
We accept this trade. We are trying to build for our future while still trying to compete in 2017. We have a lot of depth in pitching to be able to afford this move. Thanks for making the trade with us Nationals.

As you can probably surmise I'm looking to make a title push this year, so while giving up the future picks is tough I wanted to solidify my staff since I won't be getting a lot of pitching help from the upper levels of my minor league roster.

Also, assuming the trade goes through Nats will be demoting Alex Meyer and dropping a minor leaguer TBNL
