Oakland Athletics trade:
Kyle Gibson
Merrill Kelly
Edwin Diaz
2023 2nd round pick (OAK)
$7 for 2022

Demote Bobby Bradley to UM, Andrew Heaney to IL to make room for trade.
Reason: Need to add some more quality stats to the rotation and secure the bullpen roles, cash to help cover salaries is a plus.

I agree. Liked Montgomery in the draft so happy to make a deal for him. Just had 1 year left on Gibson so doesn’t hurt to lose him at all since I don’t think my team is ready to win this year. Kelly and Diaz will sting a little bit to lose, but glad to get a great prospect and add some draft capital.
