Nationals Trade: Kenta Maeda (3 years, 8M)
Marlins Trade: Jose Abreu (2 years, 11M)
I accept this trade. I think it's good in that it fills a need for both teams. From the Nationals perspective I was not all that excited about my 3-man platoon at first base and wanted a high-floor option I think Abreu is. Maeda was a pretty major part of my rotation and I think he will be a #1-2 pitcher for the next few years, but the rest of my rotation is strong so I decided to fill the need. From a contracts perspective the Maeda contract is probably a bit better given that it has an extra year of control and take up a few less dollars, and that's part of what makes this, IMO, a very even trade.

I concur on the evenness of this trade. I had a plethora of bats at 1B and needed another strong arm to shore up my suspect rotation. Madea fits the bill.

Great Trade Guys!!! Not sure why this trade would be voted against. I really like Abreu and think he is a solid 1B. I have Duda and Plouffe as my first base options and I am not too happy with that.
