2024 Player Options
Here is where you post your decisions for:
- Player options
- Qualifying Offer
- Arbitration
- Minor League Promotions
You can start making the decisions after the 2023 regular season.
Please follow the following steps:
1. Take your time deciding.
2. Post your decision.
3. Do not delete or edit the post. Once you made a decision you can not change it.
Here is the following choices and rules.
MLB Free Agents (FA in Spreadsheet)
You will have the option to accept a qualifying offer. If you accept this offer it will be a one year deal and the player will be considered a UFA next season.
If you decline it, the player will be placed in auctions. If you win the player in auction, you will receive a 20% discount on the contract. If you do not win the player back, and the player is rated in the top 50 in Yahoo, you will receive a compensation pick in the 2024 rookie draft. Remember players that did not reside on a roster from opening day to the end of the season will not be eligible for the 20% discount, but will be eligible for the qualifying offer.
Arbitration Players (Orange in Spreadsheet)
You can either accept the new arbitration salary, decline it, or accept a qualifying offer for a one year deal.
Same rules apply for accepting it or declining it. You still would get the 20% discount if you win the player back. If not you would get the compensation pick if the player is rated in the top 50 in Yahoo.
Club Option Year Players (Blue in Spreadsheet)
You can either accept the option year or decline the player. If the player is declined then the player will enter the free agency pool as a UFA and you will not receive a compensation pick.
Unrestricted Free Agents (UFA in Spreadsheet)
These players were won in free agency and they can not be extended. These players will automatically be free agents. You will NOT be eligible for the 20% discount. You will be eligible for the compensation pick if applicable.
2024 Player Options
Here is where you post your decisions for:
