Since we haven’t heard from CWS and he didn’t make any of their player transactions this offseason we are going to look for a replacement manager.
With that being said we are to cancel any auctions that are Arb. or QO eligible from their roster.

What I don't understand is why all the auctions weren't at least paused? So, you voided out the several auctions that involved CSW players, but let everything else continue. How is that fair to the new owner, whenever you find one and he takes over? Yes, he'll be able to take care of arb and options, but will likely miss out on the auctions of perhaps some of the best players available this season.

Yes, he'll be able to take care of arb and options, but will likely miss out on the auctions of perhaps some of the best players available this season. Fortunately only 3 auctions have closed so far. 2 of them (Bohm & Rosario) nobody else would want at that price anyway. So the new owner hasn't missed anything really. Also, a new owner has been found. He is already registered and is aware of the ongoing auctions. He will be making his ARB & FA decisions soon and will be involved in the auctions shortly. |

All of this was my mistake from the beginning, Ive just been a little too tied up at work this week or I would have stopped free agency before it ever started to allow time for this, but it got rolling before I could make that happen. Pausing free agency was an option, but it was my decision not to because it would have been harder to track. As Dodgers pointed out we have found a new owner who is aware of the situation and luckily he didn't miss a whole lot. I apologize all of this wasn't handled better that is definitely my fault, but we did not want to leave that team in a bad state for the future owner which it became inevitable we needed to move on from CWS. |
