An owner in the league I run told me he was watching MLB Now and they said Yahoo for next season is going to have Ohtani as a pitcher and a hitter, you will need to draft both in order to get his full stats. Not sure how the other sites are handling it,so far CBS doesn't have him in their site.

Why would someone need to draft him twice? He's simply one player.

I agree with this I think either he needs to be drafted as two different players Otani (hitter), Otani (pitcher) or allow a team to draft him and get both players but it would occupy two roster spots |

CBS just listed him as a pitcher only.Even though he is just one player Yahoo is setting him up as two and the only way you will get his offensive points is listing him in your lineup as an offensive player. This can be kind of interesting when he is in a N?L park pitching will he get his offensive points then for his AB's as a pitcher?

He shouldn't. Other pitchers don't get offensive stats when they are batting in an NL park. Would be nice for owners who have pitchers that rake such as Bumgarner.

He isn't eligible for free agency so there shouldn't be a rush. He will have to be drafted in the MiLB draft which is still a little ways off.

Not to sound pushy but can we get more discussion about the determination on the status of Ohtani? My reason for asking is Bryan and I own the #2 & #3 overall picks and when we discuss possible trades involving these picks the conversation always comes down to what Ohtani's status will be. Like others, Bryan and I would like to know what the final decision will be. Thanks, Stuart
