So if you let the team add and drop him you would have to do it the day before right? I think when you add a player on Yahoo he isn’t on your roster until then next day correct?

Yeah when you pick someone up they are normally on your roster the same day.

As much as I hate to have Yahoo dictate our league structure, it makes sense to stay consistent with how they're treating it (Ohtani - pitcher / Ohtani - hitter). Just my 2 cents after being in the league 2 hours

This was a dumb decision by Yahoo and creates a dilemma in fantasy leagues. It was real simple to me, if you start him in a pitching slot he can get pitching stats, if you start him in a hitting spot he can get hitting stats but he can't get both in one spot. The reason Yahoo did it this way is their platform isn't built to handle a 2 way player like Ohtani. The hope is that this will change in 2019, but they were caught flat footed (eventhough the entire baseball world knew Ohtani was coming.....)

So far both CBS and Fantrax only have him listed as a pitcher, not sure about ESPN but it seems Yahoo is the only one making this decision

In my Fantrax league they have Ohtani as UTIL, SP, P.
I don't own him there, so couldn't tell you how you're able to move him in your lineup though.

What are your position eligibility requirements set to? Turning on my commish mode I can move him to UT, SP, or P on the other guys team.

That's weird. Don't know why he isn't UT for you but he is for us.

Hey KC, welcome, Ohtani as a UTL,can the owner himself do that also or is it something that only you in commish mode can do. I know as CBS Commissioner, I can do things the other owners can't.It does seem weird it can be done in one league and not the other. The only thing I hear everyone complaining about is Yahoo

That I don't know the answer to (the owner isn't online to check). But it doesn't let me move him to SS or anything crazy like that so I assume the owner can do it himself.

CBS has made the following decision concerning Ohtani, "Ohtani is a one-of-a-kind player, we can't just try to fit him into the same box as everyone else. And we won't. To deal with the impact of Ohtani's unique skill set, CBS Fantasy has changed the rules of the game, allowing Fantasy players who draft Ohtani to use him as either a hitter or a pitcher. You won't have to draft two different versions of him, but you also won't be able to use him as both a hitter and a pitcher at the same time. If he's in your lineup as a pitcher, his pitching stats will count; his hitting stats will count if he's a hitter." I wonder with Yahoo having two Ohtani's will you be able to use both stats on the same day, this way getting credit for his AB's in an NL park while he is pitching?
