In an attempt to speed up the MilB draft process we would like to see if / when people could be available for 1-2 hours and try to push through as many picks as possible. Upside is the draft can go very quickly, downside is that all (20) managers need to be available. Attached is a poll with days of availability, you can vote for (7) options, please vote for every day you can attempt to block some time out and if we get (20) votes on a day we can target that day.
Please post the hours of the day, WITH TIME ZONE, you could block out 1-2 hours for this. I'll post each team's time slot here and maybe we can find something that works. If it doesn't work, no problem, and if we have a small group of managers (2-3?) that can't make it maybe they would be willing to submit a list of picks to the commish.

What's the rush? It's only November 20th. Yahoo doesn't even open until The 1st week of February(2017).

My vote is to continue the draft as normal. I'm in another league whose draft starts soon, plus with Thanksgiving coming up i don't have the time to sit by the computer for 2 hours. I'll be driving as well.
I'm not trying to be difficult here. But a 12 hour window is all i can do right now.
Sorry.

Some of us just wanted to see if this is an option.

I understand there are a few people that get anxious and do not like waiting on people when they are busy. But we have been picking about every 3 days which is good I think. For Thanksgiving I think we should turn off the clock starting Wednesday evening until Friday morning. If people can pick they can if not we wait.

I agree 100% with Cubs here, the Draft is moving along fine, with Thanksgiving coming up and traveling and Family Time - this draft should be put on hold Wednesday through Friday, or the 12 hour window lifted Wednesday through Friday.

Drafting 85 - the initial Minor League Draft That allows managers the opportunity to augment their MiLB roster begins TBD. The initial Minor League Draft will be 20 rounds. The initial draft will be snaking style randomized by www.draftordergenerator.com/ 86 - To qualify for the Initial MiLB Draft, a player must not have exceeded 130 AB / 50 IP / 30 Game Pitched and must be signed with an MLB organization prior to the start of the Initial MiLB Draft. 87 - the Minor league draft is conducted within the 'MiLB’' section of this Proboard, on the appropriate sub-board for the year in question. 88 - the following seasons we will hold a Rookie Draft each year that will last 5 rounds. 89 - To qualify for the Rookie Draft players must have signed with a major league team after the amateur draft that occurs in June. 90 - Players drafted in the Rookie Draft will be stored on a 5 man ‘Low Minors’ roster. These players must be promoted to the MiLB roster before the next season’s draft or to the MLB roster if they have exceeded (50 IP / 130 AB / 30 Games Pitched) 91 – teams are allocated a position in the Rookie draft based upon their regular season finish of the previous season. The team that finished in last place will receive the first pick, while the team that finished in first place will receive the 20th pick. All other teams in-between these two extremes will be aligned to a draft position in accordance with that principle. The draft is non-snaking, meaning the draft position for each team will be maintained for each and every round. 92 - any blatant indication that a team has purposefully tanked in its performance, deliberately negating its competitiveness with the sole intention of gaining a higher draft position, will be considered an abuse of the system. Such abuses will result in the forfeiture of the higher draft position gained in this way and discretion will be exercised to determine the final draft position of that team. 93 - the draft method employed is the traditional standard ‘pick’ format. Managers are required to simply state the name of the player, and his parent club, on the appropriate thread when it is their turn to pick. 94 - Teams will have 12 hours to make a pick. If a manager has not made his pick within 12 hours of the previous pick declaration, that pick will be skipped and the draft may continue. The manager of the skipped pick may make his selection at anytime but cannot select a player that has been drafted since he was skipped. Plus its stated here in rule(94) that we have 12 hours to make a selection- I don't advise changing the rules in the Middle of the MILB draft.

Who is "we" and why is this a thing? The timing of the draft is fine. 12 hours in between picks and that is it. Time zones and schedules are all over the place and it is impossible to get 20 managers on at the same time.

I threw it out there, a number of managers were interested. If this isn't a thing, and as you said it's not going to work, it's fine. Just throwing it out there.

I prefer to keep it as is. It was sit up with the 12 hour window which does allow for scheduling conflicts. Switching it back and forth always leaves someone out. I have been in yahoo drafts where everything is sit and I can make it, then someone complains and they change for them, but me and others were not able to make it. Keep it like it is.

Everyone remain calm. No rules are changing. St. Louis was just giving a suggestion. The 12 hour clock would and will always remain. He was simply just throwing an idea out to see if there was a time when everyone could get on so we could try to knock out a bunch of picks.
My thoughts are: I could definitely make myself available for a certain time slot. But as it's been said there is no need to rush. Would it be nice to knock out a bunch of picks at once. Yes. But I think it would be near impossible to get everyone on and willing to wait on there turn.
We are averaging around 10 picks per day. Which means we should be finished before Christmas which would be awesome!

Josh no offense, but the rules state a 12 hour window during the MILB draft, we simply shouldn't bend, tickle or change any rules in the middle of any draft.

I also read in St' Louis post where we can vote on getting the draft done quicker, in a shorter time frame.

Seems to me by SPEEDING up the MILB draft process, is we are flirting here with a rule change...
