Thank you all for giving some thoughtful feedback. My problem with pausing this auction is these players are going to be on a time stamp. That could potentially get really confusing. I don't think this Draft Auction will take quite as long as one might think. January 16th is certainly the latest day I think we should start because I want to give a couple weeks prior to the start of the season for trades, and things like that.
If anyone has any major conflicts whatsoever from January-April 1st let us know now or forever hold your peace.
It only requires getting on once a day for about 3-5 minutes placing bids.
If there are many conflicts we may considering expanding the clock to win a player from 24 hours to 48 hours. Again this is just a thought please don't get in an uproar about this thought. One of the leagues this one was founded off of did there Auction draft with a 48 hour clock and it seemed long to me, but it certainly allows people more leeway if they are going to be gone or busy with no internet access. It is obviously extremely important to for this league that EVERYONE is engaged during this auction process.
From experience this auction will seem at first like it will never end. It will seem like there is no way we will finish this thing before the season starts and then 6-7 weeks have passed and your roster is starting to fill out and you can't believe it happened.
Oh and by the way I have returned from Israel! Thanks to all for being patient with me. It might take some time for me getting over jet lag and getting back into the daily work grind but I am back.
