The one issue we are faced with now with only taking 4 playoff teams I don’t think it’s right to take only the 4 division winners. Do we just scratch divisions all together and play random schedules? I don’t see a good solution here so please help me out here if anyone has a suggestion.

I am assuming if we scrap divisions its only for this season correct. I am basically for whatever makes this league run smoother for this season.

If there is such a thing as normal. We could leave divisions as is and still just allow the top 4 teams to go. The bottom line with 20 teams and and a 7 week regular season and only 4 playoff teams it seems the schedule will be terribly imbalanced any way we do it.

Might be better off just keeping divisions and allowing top 4 to make playoffs regardless of division winners.

My vote is leave the divisions like they are. Make the schedule completely random. And the Top 4 teams regardless of division make the playoffs.

Why not just leave the divisions and just schedule division games? You will face everyone twice except one team. Or if you are able to do multiple games per week you could make it where everyone plays each other in the division twice, winner goes to the playoffs.
Just an option to throw out there. I am fine either way

So everything is set up on Yahoo. The new 7 game schedule is set which was completely randomized by Yahoo. Each team will play their division opponents once and then 3 out of division opponents. The top four records will advance to the playoffs regardless of divisions.
Here are the playoff tiebreakers we proposed in the offseason which i think could come into play due to the short season.
1)H2H Record 2)Best divisional record **(THIS only applies between two or more division opponents vying for a playoff spot)** 3)Most Wins 4)Total Categories won for season 5)Total Hitting Categories Won for season 6)Total Pitching Categories Won season 7)Coin Toss
I went ahead and added 3 NA slots just for this season, At the moment I do not have the option to add more IL slots on Yahoo. They gave more slots to public leagues so maybe this will change for us eventually.

How are we dealing with players on the Covid list? I have Eric Lauer listed as Covid-19 but I can't put him on the IL at all.

I really thought we were going to be able to place these players on the IL because just last week I could, but that has changed obviously. I think I will create unlimited amount of COVID slots for everyone. I have a plan for everything after now knowing this about yahoo. Stand by let me get my thoughts together. Sorry these last 2 weeks ago have been crazy at work.

Plan for 2020 season regarding roster flexibility...
- Create unlimited slots for COVID players. (You will drop this player from Yahoo if you place the player on the COVID list.) Allow teams to add players at a 1st come 1st serve basis when a player is on the COVID-19 list. Time stamp will rule. This player would only be a 1 year player at no cost. You may not trade this player and you may not receive any comp pick or extension at seasons need for this player.
When a COVID-19 player is activated you will have to release one of your COVID-19 replacements. Once that replacement player is release the player will be placed on waivers for 24 hours and cannot be added until 24 hrs is up. Our MLB waiver priority will be determining factor if 2 teams attempt to claim this player. You would have to have a player placed on the COVID-19 list though.
- Leave IL slots at the normal 5 (IL will operate as normal) - Add 3 NA slots for players opting out. Players that have opted out will not count against your salary cap for 2020. However if you are bidding on a player for a multi year deal the player that has opted out there salary will count against you for future seasons.
