2020 Season

Hey guys first of all I hope you all are doing well and you and your family are safe. it looks like we are finally going to get baseball. It appears there will be a 60 game season broken into 10 weeks.

My proposal for this season would be to keep divisions normal and have a 7 week season. You would play each opponent in your division and 3 out of division opponents. That would leave 3 weeks for the postseason keeping our normal 8 teams for the postseason. If anybody sees a better solution please let me know. We are going to have to just deal with the hand we’re dealt at this point. I’m just excited to have fantasy baseball at this point.

My other suggestion for this season alone would be to lower the innings limit to 25 IP considering pitchers will not be ready to pitch deep into games.

We need to get this nailed down as quick as possible so we can be prepared for this season to begin. Now would be a good time to start logging in more frequently.

Agree. Shame we lose a whole season of a contract on 7 weeks.

This could work well. I think an alternative would be to limit the postseason to 2 rounds, just to give other teams the most of the fantasy season we can. Just want to give an alternate.

Hey guys I got an email from yahoo and I wanted to forward that info to y’all as it looks like they pretty much made the decision for us.

Major League Baseball has announced a new season schedule, with a 60-game season scheduled to start around July 23rd. As the shortened season and roster rules can affect gameplay, we are making a number of changes to Fantasy Baseball 2020

Key changes include:

Head-to-Head League Schedules
Head-to-Head leagues will default to a 9 week season - 7 week regular season and 2 weeks of playoffs (4 playoff teams and no playoff bye weeks).

It seems everyone is in agreement....Here are a few other thoughts for the upcoming season/future.

- Add 3 NA slots for this season due to players opting out of the season.
-We could allow a few extra IL slots for this season due to the unknown of players getting COVID. (Yahoo only allows 5 but this seems like a must to increase IL slots)
- Allow low minors players to stay on that roster for another year and expand low minors roster to 10 during next years draft.
