Compromise. How about, wr just make divisions not hold any value. So doesn't affect playoffs or such schedule..: they are just fun

Well like I said, Yahoo doesn't do playoffs by divisions. Just the Division winner. And having a certain team in your division isn't going to determine the one winner in the division. Yes, I think it will be fair to have all teams play each other at least once and just have Yahoo create a random schedule. I believe there are 2 teams that you will play twice. But its RANDOM set by Yahoo. So basically having divisions will be just for fun and will not have any playoff implications.

I see your point if a team has to play a rebuilding team 3 or 4 times a year. That will affect the season standings. It won't be fair to the Athletics to not play that team at all but have you play that team 4 times in the season. But I think if every team plays everybody every year the divisions are not going to matter at all and it won't matter who is in them. You still will have to be in the top 8 in the entire league to make the playoffs.

My bad Chris, I didn't see that one. I looked on the 2nd page.
I'm a little more in favor of mine because it keeps the better real life rivalries of the NL Central together. If we had someone managing the Dodgers I would lean toward the NL West making up the bulk of a division. I'm more interested in keeping the divisions NL/AL than keeping the natural divisions together if there aren't more than 3 (like the NL East).
If divisions don't matter just split it into NL/AL and make it like the old school pennant system. Top teams advance, losers pound sand.

Hey guys there a couple things we need to discuss regarding Yahoo settings. 1. How do we divide up our 4 divisions? LAA (Chris) had an interesting idea trying to set of the divisions regionally, I will let him share his idea with you. 2. Playoff Seeding Options - A - Division winners awarded top playoff seeds
- B - Division winners advance but seeding by overall standings
- C - All Teams seeded according to overall standings
3. Playoff Tiebreaker - A - Higher Seeds Win
- B - Best Regular Season record vs opponent wins
Please give your idea for option 1 and give your favorite option for 2 & 3 1. I like the regional idea as well if we do divisions. 2. Option B seems to be the best option to me 3. Also option B

ARI/COL would you rather keep the standard AL/NL format or would you rather mix teams no matter if they are AL or NL?

I'm fine with either, but mixed teams would make it more fun

One question is are we having Yahoo create random schedules?

I think the league as a whole is better off having set divisions, random divisions to me make no sense and at least after this season you can see who is in your division and what teams you have to compete against. Mixed Regional would make the most sense to me. I honestly don't even mind random division setup but if this route is done they should be set in stone for each season following this one.

That's what I meant - random but set forever!

I will say I think it should be Regional Mixed division setup. Option B and option B for tiebreakers as well.
