Hey guys there a couple things we need to discuss regarding Yahoo settings. 1. How do we divide up our 4 divisions? LAA (Chris) had an interesting idea trying to set of the divisions regionally, I will let him share his idea with you. 2. Playoff Seeding Options - A - Division winners awarded top playoff seeds
- B - Division winners advance but seeding by overall standings
- C - All Teams seeded according to overall standings
3. Playoff Tiebreaker - A - Higher Seeds Win
- B - Best Regular Season record vs opponent wins
Please give your idea for option 1 and give your favorite option for 2 & 3

1) I think regionally would be the fairest and coolest way. Hopefully that will generate rivalries.
2) I like option B.
3) I think B would be the best option because seeding could be skewed depending on who might be in an easier division.

I think regionally woild actually be very biased. Random divisions is the way to go. . People may want to pick regionally.if they see a team they want to be in their division in their region, so I think it would be fundamentally unfair to even vote on this. I am very, very adamant about this. Random has to be chosen.
Why are we deciding these things after the draft BTW? Do we even know how many people make the playoffs? Why did we not decide this beforehand when our entire strategies could be based on this?

There are 10 NL and 10 AL teams so the first question with my idea is do you guys want to keep them separated? 2 AL divisions of 5 teams and 2 NL divisions of 5 teams.

Why are we not doing it random. Let's be realistic here. We all know each other's strategies as. Some teams are going to want this more than others

So what I'm thinking for regional divisions both ways are:
Having an AL and an NL (Option A)
NL AL
Division 1 Division 1 ARZ BAL CHC BOS COL CLE STL NYY SF TOR
Division 2 Division 2 ATL CHW MIA LAA NYM OAK WAS SEA PIT TEX
Having Mixed Leagues/Divisions (Option B)
Division 1 Division 2 ATL LAA MIA OAK WAS SF TEX SEA ARZ COL
Division 3 Division 4 STL BAL CHC BOS CHW NYM CLE NYY PIT TOR

I don't know why it looks like that but you can see who is supposed to be under each column.

I really don't think people care that much to do that.

It is different from the MLB and just has a different feel. I think it is cool to be in a division with the Cubs and STL, creates more rivalries
But I don't see why TEX and ARZ would be with the NL East teams. I would probably put Arizona in DIV 3 an PIT in DIV 1

How flexible is yahoo on playoff seeding? In the past at least it would have been manual to track the playoffs with anything non standard

No wonder a lot of people who want regional divisions. They can see who will be in their division. This is fundamentally unfair and although CWS may not be willingness to put in the work to gain an advantage I guarantee I woild
